Role:
We are looking for passionate, plant knowledgeable growers who work hard and can effectively manage people in an agricultural setting. The ideal candidate will have:
- General knowledge of cannabis cultivation.
- General knowledge of large scale commercial organic agriculture.
- General knowledge of greenhouse systems, climatic controls, irrigation systems, artificial lighting, various farming practices, farm machinery, etc.
- Knowledge of the related scientific units of measurement and according instruments for measuring variables such as pH, EC, ppm, etc.
Responsibilities Include:
- Ordering of materials and stock
- Monitor and regulate greenhouse climatic control systems
- Establish work schedules
- Safe operation/utilization of farm equipment
- Involved leadership and management of a cultivation team in all aspects of the cultivation processes such as planting, transplanting, pruning, feeding/ watering, spraying, etc.
- Accurate mixing and measuring of nutrients.
- Cleaning of cultivation and non-cultivation areas.
- Calibration of tools and equipment.
- Write, review, and follow SOPs with strict adherence, alongside other cultivation and quality team members and managers.
- Follow all PPE requirements and company policies
- All duties related to successful execution of cultivation strategy
Requirements:
- Cannabis experience is strongly preferred
- Agricultural degree strongly preferred, but not required
- Must speak proficient English
- Bilingual in English & Portuguese a plus, but not required
- Preferably, the ideal candidate will already live in Portugal, or at least be allowed to work in Portugal.
- Must relocate to Beja, Portugal or be able to work in Beja on a daily basis.
